The purpose of CEND-PHR is to test the implementation of a minimal dataset PHR that conforms to the Consumer Empowerment Use Case as described by the American Health Information Community (AHIC). Users obtain CEND-PHR accounts directly from the CEND program, which is a collaborative being facilitated by the American Academy of Family Physicians. Currently, CEND-PHR is a free service designed for trial use only since its primary purpose is to demonstrate the capability of existing standards and products to successfully implement AHIC's Consumer Empowerment Use Case.
